Questa tecnica ha come finalità quella di lavorare sulla decontrazione profonda dei muscoli scheletrici agendo sulla aponeurosi strutturale e sulla fascia muscolare.
La fascia è un tessuto connettivo allo stato puro, che si espande e avvolge tutto il corpo. Questo complesso di membrane sottese allo scheletro trasmette la minima tensione, il minimo spostamento segmentario a tutto il corpo. Lavorare sulla decontrazione della fascia, significa migliorare elasticità e l’ossigenazione dei muscoli ed interviene direttamente sulla postura.
Le tensioni muscolari riducono la mobilità articolare limitando la funzionalità delle varie parti del corpo.
Tutto questo influenza gli atteggiamenti mentali, di conseguenza lavorare sul sistema articolare significa agire sulle tensioni muscolari profonde e sulle risposte emozionali ad esse annesse che si manifestano in vari modi.
Questo tipo di approccio massoterapico ha lo scopo di liberare il corpo da tensioni profonde, agendo direttamente sulla postura.
Il movimento passivo-attivo del massaggio sollecita quindi il nostro sistema osseo-articolare attraverso il sistema nervoso: modifica e riporta il corpo al libero movimento prevenendo la formazione di aderenze e di reazioni capsulari, legamentose, muscolari, tendinee, conservando l’elasticità dei tessuti molli.
